David Andrew "Andy" Duncan of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Sunday February 19, 2012 at Baptist Regional Health System in Miami, Oklahoma. He was 47.

He was born July 31, 1964 to John Merriwell Dean and Mary Ruth (Gilstrap) Duncan in Joplin, Missouri. He graduated from Miami High School in 1983 and then got his associates degree in Engineering from Northeast Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, OK. He was a rural postal carrier for the US Postal Service in Miami, OK. He was a member of the Postal Union and served as Union Steward. He was a member of Promise Keepers. He held certificates from Steve Hurst Sound of Music: Sound and Technician. He volunteered as a coach for the Miami City League for basketball and baseball. He loved to play church league softball. He was a Christian and a member of G.A.P. (God and People). He married Rhonda (Lowe) on June 27, 1987 in Miami, OK, she survives of the home.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother Mary Ruth, one son John David Duncan of Miami, OK. One daughter Mary Lynn Roberts and husband Zachary of Vinita, OK. Three brothers J.D. Duncan and wife Crystie of Lawton, OK, Mark Duncan and wife Cari of Lawton, OK, and Matthew Duncan and wife Arisa of Lawton, OK. One sister Dénna Marie Miller and husband John T. of Longview, TX. One grandson Gavin Roberts of Vinita, OK.

Service will be held 10:00am Friday February 24, 2012 at First Christian Church in Miami, OK. Minister Jim Land and Pastor Josh Baser will officiate. Interment will be at Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte, OK. Pallbearers will be J.D. Duncan, Mark Duncan, Matt Duncan, John T. Miller and Zachary Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Ruffner, Tim Hall and John Harwood. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
